This is my first marker rendering of a car, must admit was very scared to make the first marker stroke . It was a rather long process as the bodywork was made up using two shades of marker (Warm Grey 2 & 3). A message to all those who want to give it a go, have more than two shades available to you before starting as the efect of shading will be vastly enhanced due to the contrast resulting in a far more shinier surface LOL. I am happy with the outcome not over the moon however I will use this newfound knowledge in my next design. The car itself I have based upon my Dad's favourite car the Mk2 Ford Escort. I have tried to keep it true to it original form with the long bonnet and colour coded alloys. Any tips will be appreciated and feedback is always welcome.
This is wonderful. I love the lines and the shading. Sometimes you can pop that shadows up by using dark purples as well. I know it sounds kind of unusual with brown, but it works, especially in the deepest shadows.
You would love it where I live. They have a charity car show every year and we have some really spectacular and rare cars that show up. I posted a couple on my stock site (seaspryte-stock) if you've interested. And I saw a really cool aqua car the other day (I haven't posted that pic yet) that can go on water like a boat, as well as on the roads. I was in awe...
Thank you for your very valued feedback and quickly checked you page and noticed you are a busy person LOL So ubber thanks. Souds pretty bad but at the moment the markers I have are a loan from my Tech teacher LOL however fingers crossed santa claus will get me some for christmas LOL. It's weird how you mentioned the ambhibious car as I have recently had to design an amphibious Delivery van for my Uni interview which turned out quite well. I haven't yet uploaded it yet. I will in fact check out your stock site and really appreciate the comments
You know, I think it's great that you get to "test drive" the markers. ha ha It's always good to try out things for a while to see if you feel comfortable using them.
Thank you very much, I love a bit of feedback LOL There are a lot of lines within the design, I do get really carried away sometimes trying to get the front looking all pretty and forget that the front dictates the proportions of the rest of the car. Thank you for the favourite and having the time to leave your much valued feedback. I do have another bit of work in progress as I am having a stab at the VW Beetle, fingers crossed it looks good
NICE! I do love this design though, and I know what you mean about getting carried away with lines. Nothing is ever quite complete for me, haha. Honestly, I think this should be developed more, because I like where it's going. I wish I could do the 3/4 view.
