Hi everyoune, thought I'd give it another shot with the whole drawing tablet thing :D . I have here a Coloured version of my Beetle concept and thought I'd leave it in a basic grey in order to emphasise form a little bit more. It was rather time consuming I must admit however it does give you a chance to tweak aspects such as colours and wheels etcetera. I didn't want to go into übber high-quality detail as I need to get everything together in time for a Uni interview which I'm very nervous for to say the least. I would like to ask a huge favour to anyone who would know about these kinda things but: 1) Would Uni be happy with this? 2) Any input on improvements? Changes can be made easily so will take everything into account :D

Not Bad at all. Light source is correct, good understanding of the surfaces and good sketch. One thing I was taught that will enhance it is if you slam the sketch, meaning you mash the top down and make it wider. It may seem weird at first but if you do it right it looks amazing. Experiment with it and see what you get.

About showing it to universities, i only had one car related thing in my portfolio. Just make sure you have a wide variety of works in your portfolio. That's what they like.

Keep it up!

Thank you very much for the great advise, I do usually go down that more 'slammed' approach however I thought with a classic such as the Beetle I had to keep true to the previous model, In hindsight I completely understand where you are coming from and should've been a little more experimental. I will most definitely take this into account and hope to receive any other little gems of advice if I upload any new concepts :D
